I made it to dispatch. I found my family waiting for me here. My co-workers and their families were here as well. We stayed for a while and watched the mayhem unfold on TV. The infection spread fast and finally the news broadcasts signed off for good. We stayed along with a group of officers as long as we could. We noticed more and more of the infected outside of the center. The numbers grew and finally they broke through the front door. We had our last stand and barricaded a group of infected in the garage. If you’re here you must stay away from there. We’re headed south while the others are going to Mackinac Island. God help us all!

I can’t believe this is happening! I came to check out a show and gamble at the Casino and all hell broke loose. I was sitting at a table and I heard people screaming. I looked up and people were running towards me. I panicked and ran but others did too. I trampled over people and I could feel their bones breaking as I stomped over them. I fell and saw people being torn apart. Chunks were taken out of their body. I ran to the garage and stole some keys. If you’re reading this then you may have a chance to escape. I stole keys from the locker for the cars in this garage. The locker closed and locked but the code is 0891. Be safe, I’m headed for Mackinac Island.

John sent me a warning. He’s trying to get me so we can leave but the police are blocking the road. What’s going on over here? I saw on the Internet that an infection is spreading. They say it’s the undead but that’s only in the movies. I don’t know what to do. For whomever reads this please stay away from any other back roads in this area.

John if you’re reading this and I’m not here I went to my parents house in Holland. They live close to the police department. You remember where right? I will see you soon and thank you for the picture. I’ll stay away from there.

It’s all spreading so fast. The news immediately caught wind of what was going on from people sending in video and pictures from their cell phones. I can’t believe what I saw. People were attacking each other but some of them looked like nothing I have ever seen. Once the group brought down the others they began ripping them apart with their teeth. I have seen other video’s from people in Tennessee and Florida with similar attacks. I don’t know how all of this is connected but I’m heading south for my parents. It could be a stupid move but eventually the military will block off all exits from the state and I will be stuck. For whomever reads this, I want you to know that I have left a gun in my safe under the bed. There is one clip and I pray that you won’t need it but if you do; shoot wisely. The code is 0-5-1-4. Good luck!

Breaking out of Allegan

As I write this letter, I wonder if anyone will be left alive to read it.  I’m not sure where it started, I’ve heard to the west, possibly Fennville.  I think it was some type chemical disaster.  What I do know is this, everyone I have ever cared about is dead!  Everything I thought I knew has changed forever!  I heard the initial calls coming in before I went off duty but just thought to myself, it’s going to be a hell of a night for the night shift.  Was I ever wrong.  It was a hell a night for mankind.  When I found out our city was being overrun by the living dead, I honestly believed it would be a good fight, but one I was sure I could win.  I was so very wrong.  They are like a wildfire spreading at a catastrophic rate.  I have killed some of them but they just kept coming.  More and more every day and night. Many are people I used to know and called friends.  Now I fear they cannot be beat.  My family and I are out of food, and ammunition.  We cannot stay here any longer.  I am going to try and take them out west, maybe into the mountains and try and hide.  If you are reading this, stop!  Run as fast and as far as you can, although I fear it is already too late.  I don’t know if they can be stopped but I can no longer wait to find out.  Good luck, and God speed!

I told you so! I knew it! I knew this day would come! I watched all the movies. I read all the books. And you laughed at me when I said “Left 4 Dead” 1 and 2 were like my training simulators. The real cause of this infection has yet to be determined. Word is it started in Fennville. Ha. My home town of Fennville. Had this broken out a few years ago before I moved I would’ve been at the front lines… Imagine that! I don’t plan on waiting around to find out the cause. I plan on surviving. I have a plan in place. In this note you will see that I’ve left you several tips for survival, as well as a little bit of my plan. C’Mon. I can’t do all the work for you!

1. Stay Armed. Whether you are in a group or by yourself you need to have a way to defend yourself. Firearms are nice, but a blunt weapon should always be by your side as a back up.
2. Stay together. Even when scouting or venturing out away from a group, stay in pairs. It’s unlikely the undead can catch both of you at once….
3. First Aids, Food, and Water. Nothing that needs to be cooked. Also some high sugar/caffeine foods to keep you energized should ‘safe’ sleeping quarters get scarce.
4. Always have a plan. Where are you going? Don’t waste time wandering aimlessly. Leave notes containing the date. So we can guess your chances of still being alive.
5. Remember that gun? Always leave at least one bullet in the chamber. If you get bitten… You’ll be glad you saved yourself one last shot….
As far as my plan goes….
Stock up… and meet me at the harbor. Today is XX-XX-2012. I will be sailing out 1 week from now…
Good Luck to You…
Kyle

Bird’s Eye Corp – Fennville, MI

I locked myself in the office. I never thought it would come to this. We poisoned the people of this city with our waste. Now we’re being punished. We sprayed the fields, we contaminated the water supply and the goods we distribute. By now the goods have been consumed by many. This will spread quickly throughout the states and we’re to blame. Erin B. and the people of Fennville were right to investigate us but that won’t help now. I’m sorry Carla…I love you.

The medical calls were out of control. Every house we went to was the same. The patients had high fevers, trouble breathing, and eventually died on scene. We attempted to remove the bodies but they came back. They attacked us and we fled. We heard that the hospital had been overrun. What were we to do? We stopped to help the wounded in the streets but they turned as well. We are going to wait here at our base. If you are in need of help, knock loudly. If no one comes to the door search for unit #L901, we’ll try to help the best we can.

I’m waiting here at the building behind the post office. I left Bird’s Eye because of what I saw. A group of people have been sick. I don’t know if it has to do with the chemicals here but after a while they attacked other workers. I saw one of them bite a chunk out of Alex’s neck. His blood sprayed the walls. I ran as fast as I could from the building. That incident was days ago. When I got here all I could hear were screams over the radios. I don’t know what’s going on. There are people running around outside. People are yelling and screaming. I hear gunshots, it’s a warzone. I will wait a little longer. I hope help arrives…

Allegan, MI – After Outbreak

I was there when it started. The two men in the hospital were crazy. They fought with my co-workers and I and they eventually died…or so we thought. When they came back they were strong. They started to eat people and those who were dying turned into something that was no longer human. From what I saw the infection spread quickly. If you come to this hospital make sure to grab what you need and leave. No medical attention will be given here. If you’re reading this, you have to know that scratches and bites will turn you. The time varies but if you fight one of the infected, aim for the head. I hope this helps…my time is limited…I was recently bitten.
